Ilija Bašičević Bosilj

Ilija Bašičević Bosilj (1895–1972) was a self-taught Serbian painter whose singular body of work, rooted in myth and epic poetry, is held in major museums in Europe and the United States, among them the Collection de l’Art Brut in Lausanne, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrade.
